We’re looking for a resourceful administrative professional to grow with us as we expand our ministry reach in our city. Before you apply, please read this job description to make sure you’re the kind of person we’re looking for.
Compensation and Work Schedule: This position is a 30 hour/week salaried position with 2 weeks annual paid vacation plus additional paid holidays. Work hours are somewhat flexible, but will mostly take place during weekdays. However, sometimes a few hours will need to be worked on weekends and evenings for special events. Pay will be determined based on experience.
Responsibilities: As our ministry has a lot of different functions, this job will carry a lot of different hats—it will not be boring! Under the leadership of the executive director, ChattHOP’s admin will carry out typical non-profit donor care, run general administration for ChattHOP as well as for ChattHOP’s three ministry platforms. This includes admin and set up for some events, liaising with our accountants, and administration of our websites, blogs, and social media presence.
Minimum Requirements: High competency in administration is needed. If candidate can prove they have these skills, we are open to hiring him or her.
Computer skills (we use Apple products) and internet skills a must, as well as some competency with social media platforms. Must be good at time management, possess strong organizational skills (for yourself and organizing others), and able to anticipate the needs of ChattHOP’s departments. Strong skills in writing, proofreading, and a friendly attitude are needed to do this job well. Person must be a self-starter and resourceful enough to figure things out on their own when situations require it. Physically capable of moving objects as heavy as 20 pounds. Christian belief and character, regular church involvement essential. This should include a love for ministry, personal growth, God’s people, and of course prayer (even if you don’t feel you are the best at this—we can help).
